Antihistamine receptor antagonist; competes with target cells in the gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, and respiratory systems for H1-receptor sites. Loratadine is a second-generation non-sedative. A sympathomimetic, pseudoephedrine acts through a combination of direct and indirect mechanisms. A decongestant called pseudoephedrine is used to lessen nasal congestion brought on by colds or allergies. Vasoconstrictor: Pseudoephedrine causes the blood vessels in the nasal passages to contract. By stopping fluid from escaping from blood vessels into the nasal passages, vasoconstriction lessens congestion in the nose.
