With a focus on treating mixed infections, Betadine® Povidone Iodine Vaginal Pessaries effectively relieve vaginitis and discomfort.  The 10% w/v povidone-iodine (PVP-I) in each pessary is recommended for the treatment of both general and specific vaginitis.  Both acute and chronic vaginal infections, including those brought on by Gardnerella vaginalis and bacterial vaginosis, can be effectively treated with them.  Furthermore, these pessaries work well against a variety of mixed illnesses, including trichomonal infections, mycoplasma, chlamydia, herpes, and yeast infections (Candida albicans).  In cases of acute and persistent vaginal infections, they are also advised to be used after steroid or antibiotic treatments, as well as before surgery and diagnostic tests.
